About this blog

It is exciting to witness the changes taking place in China today: people who “re-educated” themselves in the countryside during the 1960s are now on Forbe’s richest list; grand-daughters of red-army leaders are the new champagne-drinking and Prada-wearing nobilities; red-guards who cheered for Mao are today’s veteran capitalists who rub shoulders with the Goldmans and Morgans. This blog runs a weekly news analysis and commentary about significant happenings in China’s financial market and its players – the red capitalists (forgive the cliche). Unlike economics professors or veteran finance columnists, this site aims to bring a different perspective, a fresh view point and a unique way of analysis.
